Environmental Manager´s response to Cornicopians

As shown in this graph science comes from understanding our environment and understanding how it functions. From this point on we develop technology that help us solve problems we find from our interaction in nature. For example energy. Humans have found out many ways in which to use resources, we have used fossil fuels to produce energy.  With time we have come to realize that fossil fuels are not unlimited resources, and we have had to go back to the idea of understanding nature. We have discovered that we can use other sources such as wind and sun for our benefit and development. And from this point created technologies to supply our needs.

The graph below shows three ways of developing. The firs one a linear development which is likely to fail because of the idea we mentioned before, we need to understand nature through since in order to create for our benefit.   The second graph is not linear but focuses only on the idea of technology giving to since and society. But this idea is not possible considering the cycle mentioned before. We create technology by understanding what is wrong in nature and fixing it for our benefit. At this point it is also important to note that technology requires resources and resources come from nature. The third development model focuses on the idea of a system. A system which feeds from each other to give back to each other. The idea that since influences technology, technology influences society and technology can help science.
