Cornucopians

Comment on Deep Ecologists:

We as cornucopians, would like to argue the idea of Deep Ecologists, because we do not believe that nature is the only solution. We believe that humans have the power above all and that by providing money, which we have, we can create a product that can be probably a little bit more expensive but that can be worth it and one which does not pollute as much or at all. We also believe that humans should act and do something about the problems we are facing because we are basically the ones who can take over control to try to work problems out even thought it may take time and money but we know it is worth it and absolutely essential. As we mentioned before the United Nations will provide the humanity with a program that will help to over come this problem which is serious because it is killing the environment and the species that live in it.
Our motto is that we may be the ones who create most of the damage, but we are the ones who can solve it as well.

Regarding the Soft Ecologists, we disagree on what they say and we quote, “How much more do we need to realize that we do not have the right to control the world and its resources.”
We, on the other hand, think that we ARE the ones who have the option to either not do anything about a certain problem, or we can get involved and “control” the situation buy manipulating certain resources to make a change and consequently obtaining a better result.
For example, there are many positive changes, which humans have implemented like the following:

·         Pollution discharges are eliminated
·         Species are bred and released
·         Foreign species are eliminated
·         Accumulations of contaminated sediments are removed
·         We exhale some carbon dioxide which assists green plants in survival
·         Our assistance in natural selection (culling) in some wild herds yield a less negative gene pool
·         The protected species laws assist in avoiding extinction
·         Use of new and different energy forms reduce pollution
·         Composting puts nutrients back into the earth, where they originally come from
·         "Re-greening" areas which have been subject to desertification
·         Reforestation of native lands
·         We breed endangered animals, yes some are kept in zoos and enclosures but others are bred and set free into the wild, in order for them to be able to breed more freely and get their numbers up.
·         We may obtain information and act in an informed way
·         Recycling ALL wastes is a Great First Step towards understanding the Problems We Face.

Some of you might want to consider all of these factors done by the people
