We are the environmental ecologists commenting to the deep ecologists. We will begin giving the example of a real tree hugger which got carried away by her extremist love and protection towards nature. Her name was Jane Goudall and was born in London. She strongly believed in giving up everything to safe the gorillas’ community. And when the local tribes did a common tradition of cutting the gorillas hands, her extremist emotions towards gorillas let her to seek for revenge. At the end the tribe killed her and the results were negative, and she lost her life.  Her extremist point and her strong emotions blinded her and her actions didn’t consider other points of view. with this example we ar trying to explain that the mentality of the deep ecologies, eventhough it has good intentions, the goals that they are trying to reach are to extremist and utopian.
Going back to the idea about energy distribution around the world, in this graph
We consider the 86 percent of the world population relies in fossil fuels on the daily lives, while the deep ecologist mentality would suggest to cut all this use of fossil fuels to totally stop the fossil fuels it’s an unreal proposition. On the other hand we as ecological managers think that a more realistic solution would be to use regulations such as an increase on fossil fuel use and decrease costs of alternative energy sources, incrementing the percentage of people that use renewable energy by making it more accessible.
